How It Works

  1. Pick up a passport

Get a booklet at any of the five breweries, Whitby Town Hall, or the Whitby Visitor Centre (May to October).

  2. Dine in, collect a stamp

At each brewery, dine in, order a menu item and collect your stamp or sticker.

  3. Snap and send

Photograph your fully stamped passport and email it to foodtours@whitby.ca with your name, mailing address, email and phone number.

  4. Watch for the draw

Three random draws take place every four months. Winners are notified by email. One entry per person per calendar year.

The passport runs from March 2, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. to March 2, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Open to residents of Canada aged 19 or older; people connected with the contest aren’t eligible. Full terms are in the contest rules (PDF, opens in a new tab). Please plan a safe ride home.

Map

The Five Stops

  • Passport stop (numbers aren’t a set order; visit in any order)

Pin positions are approximate. Addresses are the passport pickup locations listed by the Town; Directions uses the address.

    Reusable component

A Passport Callout for Every Brewery Page

The same block drops onto each brewery’s listing, so visitors who land on one brewery learn about the other four. In WordPress it’s a block that shows itself when a Place has “Passport stop” ticked, and hides after the end date.

    Later phase

    Coming Later: A Digital Passport

Check in on your phone instead of carrying a booklet. Visitors would scan a code or check in by location at each brewery, see their progress, and be entered in the draw automatically, with no photo to email.

    • For visitors: no booklet to lose, progress saved, works with Saved places.
    • For WTDC: real counts of visits by brewery and month, instead of emailed photos.
    • Needs: a passport platform or custom build, brewery buy-in for check-in codes, updated contest rules, and a privacy and CASL consent flow.
    • Timing: a natural point is the next passport year, after March 2, 2027.
